Correction, Retraction and Withdrawal Policy.

1. Corrections

IJMSAR is committed to ensuring accuracy and clarity in all published content.

• Minor errors or factual inaccuracies that do not affect the overall conclusions of an article may be corrected through a formal correction notice linked to the original article. Corrections are made to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record.

• Correction notices will be permanently linked to the original article.

2. Retractions

A retraction is a formal public notice that an article is withdrawn due to significant errors or ethical issues. Retractions are issued in cases including:

• Multiple submissions of the same manuscript to different journals.

• Plagiarism or fraudulent data.

• Severe ethical concerns affecting research integrity.

• Retracted articles will remain available online to preserve the scholarly record but will be clearly marked as "Retracted".

• Retractions can be initiated by authors, editors, or the authors’ institutions.

• The decision is made after consultation with reviewers and the editorial team.

• When serious concerns arise regarding the integrity or reliability of a published article and an investigation is ongoing, the journal may publish an Expression of Concern in accordance with COPE guidance.

• IJMSAR follows COPE Retraction Guidelines.

3. Withdrawal Policy

Authors may request withdrawal of their manuscript before or after acceptance under valid reasons such as duplication, ethical concerns, or other significant issues.

• Withdrawn manuscripts are archived and not further processed.

• If a manuscript is withdrawn after acceptance, any APC already paid is non-refundable in accordance with the journal's APC and Refund Policy.

• Authors may withdraw a manuscript before peer review by notifying the editorial office.

Advertising and Informed Consent Policy.

1. Advertising Policy

• IJMSAR currently does not display or accept commercial advertisements.

  If advertising is introduced in the future, advertisements will be clearly distinguished from editorial content and will not influence editorial decisions.

  The Editor-in-Chief has full authority over editorial content independent of advertisers.

2. Informed Consent

• Respect for patient privacy is mandatory.

• Any identifying information (names, initials, hospital numbers, or images) must have explicit written consent from the patient or guardian.

• Authors must inform patients about potential online and print accessibility of their data.

• Non-essential identifying details should be removed; partial anonymization (e.g., obscuring eyes) is not sufficient.

• Alterations to data (e.g., genetic pedigrees) must not distort scientific meaning.

• When consent is obtained, it must be clearly stated in the published article.

• For studies involving minors or individuals unable to provide consent, written informed consent must be obtained from a parent or legally authorized representative.

Data Sharing Policy. 

• Authors are encouraged to share supporting research data in a recognized public repository to promote transparency and reproducibility.

Requirements:

1. Data Availability Statement: Include where and how the data is stored, including any reuse restrictions (licensing, embargoes).

2. Repository Information: Name, persistent URL, and any conditions for reuse must be clearly provided.

3. Citation: All publicly available data must be cited in the manuscript and reference list.

Research data should be made available as soon as legally and ethically possible.

Exceptions: Where data cannot be shared due to patient confidentiality, legal restrictions, ethical considerations, or third-party rights, authors should clearly explain the reason in the Data Availability Statement.

Raw Data: Editors may request access to raw research data during peer review or after publication to verify the integrity of the research.

Repositories: Suitable repositories include institutional repositories, discipline-specific repositories, or general repositories such as Zenodo, Figshare, Dryad, or OSF.

Sensitive Data: Patient-identifiable or confidential data should not be publicly shared unless appropriate consent has been obtained and applicable regulations permit such sharing.
